1. Villa Avalon Main House - View across pool to villa

Families

With its central location and proximity to numerous clubs and restaurants, the villa is popular with groups of friends, and families with young adults, who wish to make the most of Bali’s famous nightlife and beaches. The flexibility of bedroom configuration allows privacy and independence for multiple families who can really spread out here, using not only the main four-bedroom villa but the two-bedroom and one-bedroom guesthouses too. With exciting beach bars and clubs at your doorstep, and no need to deal with the island’s infamous traffic, partying in Bali was never easier.

Children love the 15-metre pool, and can run around happily and independently in the beautiful gardens, while parents relax on sun loungers or in the poolside joglo. The team of friendly staff at Villa Kedidi will make each guest feel welcome and pampered. Having these willing attendants on-hand, gives you the flexibility and freedom to explore the area around, secure in the knowledge that your children are well taken care of (full-time babysitting incurs a small extra cost). The beach is beautiful for sand-play and letting off steam (though do note that swimming is not advisable, as the sea can be rough and currents strong). Older kids gravitate towards the pool table, enjoying their own wing (away from the master bedrooms).

Quirky boutique shops selling more than the standard souvenirs dot the lanes nearby. The waves beckon surfers of all skill levels. Beachfront bars offer refreshing cocktails and sundowners, with upbeat music in the background. Do not be surprised if the crowd starts an impromptu dance party on the beach - in this part of Bali, anything is possible.

If you prefer to stay in, there’s plenty to do in the villa as well, with a range of books available for your use. The villa’s central location may not be suitable for those seeking serenity and solitude.

Attractive breakfast options within stumbling-distance aside, nothing beats a hearty breakfast (or brunch for the late sleepers) cooked especially for you by your villa staff. And although the kitchen is well-equipped for you to cook up some snacks, or your very own culinary speciality, the staff will be happy to do this for you – just talk through your requirements and meal schedules with the villa manager or chef and they will take care of the rest. A greasy hangover-cure breakfast by the pool? Snacks to go with your cocktails? No problem. The chef can customise all meals to suit your tastes.

And when the excitement of exploring the immediate surroundings starts to wear off (if that’s possible), check out our Things to Do page – there’s plenty on offer further afield to keep the entire group amused throughout the holiday.
